About The Project
Lodging

Lodging
The project will provide accommodations in a school in the nearby town of Rionero.
Each individual is allotted a single bed arranged dormitory style. The beds, pillows and mattresses
are provided. Participants will need to supply their own bedsheets and pillowcases.
The school has two shower rooms, one for men and one for women, with a changing room, a toilet,
and 3 showers in each. Participants will need to provide their own personal hygenic products.
However, you can also purchase these in the town should you so require.
Meals
Weekdays: The dighouse has a full kitchen for use by
participants. You will be allowed to cook, and store food inside the
refrigerators during off hours. Since the dig has a resident cook on site, meals
will be provided. There will be a lunch and dinner rotation where the
participants will help in preparing, and cleaning after, that day's meals. If
you have any allergies or other such extenuating circumstances, please make note
of it in your application.
Weekends: Saturday and Sunday being free days, participants
must provide their own meals. There will be ample time alotted for grocery
shopping and full access will be granted to the kitchen.
Housework
Much like the cooking rotation, participants will be split into teams which will
take turns cleaning the common areas of the dig house. On your cleaning days you
(as a team) will be expected to wash the kitchen, common areas, showers, bathrooms, and
entryways. This will ensure sanitary conditions for the duration of the project.
